The first generation of AeroDR was launched in 2011. It features lightweight, highly robust, flexible workflow and long life built-in lithium ion capacitor technology. In 2014, Konica Minolta continuous its improvements with Aero DR Premium, enhancements made to first generation model to serve various clinical applications need with 10% less weight than first generation, enhanced durability, greater waterproof rating and more power for its built-in lithium ion capacitor with increased capacity and improved power-saving function to keep the detector operational for longer hours. In 2016, AeroDR has reached third generation of its evolution with the most sophisticated technologies in the world of digital radiography such as, design, image resolution, pixel size, cycle time and more.
Konica Minolta features a newly refined design achieved by adoption of super monocoque housing structure made out of carbon fiber, which makes the panel chasses strong, completely sealed, highly resistant to shocks and carry a very light weight.
Konica Minolta invented the new built-in battery using lithium ion capacitor with longer hours of operation and reasonable time to charge from empty to full. The lithium ion capacitor is the world most advanced technology for its power saving and it has a long charge and discharge lifetime compared with normal lithium ion battery. It will help to reduce the weight of the panel and keep it completely sealed from liquid infiltration.
Lithium ion capacitor life cycle is 5 -7 years.
The panel also has enhanced water-resistance and maintains IPX6 compliant even when dropped from a height of 1.0 meter.
AeroSync® Automatic Exposure Detection, a new X-ray exposure synchronization technology requires no physical or cable connections to the x-ray generator. Image capture automatically begins when the AeroDR senses the X-ray exposure. This technology is available in all AeroDR series and it makes it the easiest way to achieve a digital workflow.
With Roaming FPD Solution, Aero DR can be used anywhere with “the Shared Flat Panel Detector Solution.” As soon as Aero DR is registered to any X-ray room it is immediately ready to use.
