Description

A multiple X-ray images are taken for the breast through an arch of 30 degrees to create a 3D image. Digital Breast Tomosynthesis DBT is an image mode, which can generate cross sectional images with reduced tissue overlap, and cancerous cells can be easily diagnosed.

2D full field digital can also be provided form Planmed Clarity 3D. Biopsy procedures can be supported as well as additional work-up examinations.

Planmed Synthetic 2D or S2D™ is now available as an upgrade for Planmed Clarity 3D devices, a 2D image form DBT can now be generated without the need for an extra radiation for a tradition 2D full field image. This software feature will help to reduce the examination time and will save the patient extra radiation.

Clarity 3D from Planmed is fully motorized, compact and it can be installed in small rooms. It runs from a wall outlet for further eases daily use

Maxview Images

MaxView™ Breast Positioning System form Planmed helps to reach the optimal breast tissue visibility in all mammography views. MaxView uses moving radiolucent sheets above and below the compressed breast. These sheets are quickly inserted and easily installed into the upper and lower MaxView traction modules.

In the picture below, Right Cranio Caudal (RCC) view with MaxView™ applied. More breast tissues are visible in the image, including the pectoral muscle (arrow).

LeftCranio Caudal (LCC) view without MaxView™. The pectoral muscle is not visible, consequently leaving a portion of the breast outside the field of view.

In the following picture, Right Medio-Lateral Oblique (RMLO) with MaxView™ applied. The inframammary fold and significantly more pectoral muscle is visible in the image (arrow).

Left Medio-Lateral Oblique (LMLO) view without MaxView™. A large portion of the breast tissue is left outside the field of view.
